Houghton Side Chair

The Houghton Side Chair takes the familiar slat-back chair and gives it a little more movement. Gently curved vertical slats follow the shape of the back, while the subtly shaped legs soften the traditional Mission influence. The result is a solid wood chair that feels timeless without feeling heavy.
Shown in Quarter Sawn White Oak with CF-7992 Asbury Brown stain and a wood seat, the Houghton beautifully highlights the distinctive grain that makes Quarter Sawn White Oak such an enduring choice for Mission-inspired furniture.
Handcrafted from solid wood by skilled Mennonite furniture builders, the Houghton is made for the everyday rhythm of family life: meals around the table, another chair pulled up for company, and conversations that continue well after the plates have been cleared.
The Houghton Side Chair measures 18.75″W x 22.75″D x 40″H overall. The seating area measures 18.5″W x 17.5″D with an 18″ seat height, while the back extends 24″ above the seat.
Choose from Oak, Maple, Cherry, Hickory, Walnut, or Wormy Maple, then select the stain colour that works with your home. The Houghton is available with either a solid wood or upholstered seat, with upholstery choices available through Heartland Fabrics, including solid fabrics, faux leathers, premium fabrics, leather, and Customer’s Own Material.
